Solution
Area of rectangle = 700 m length × 300 m width = 21000 sq. m Area of cross road which is parallel to side of 300 m width = 10m×300m=300sq.m Area of cross road which is parallel to side of 700 m width = 10m×700m=7000sqm Total area of cross roads = 3000+7000−10×10 ( Because the central portion 10×10 is taken in both these calculations and hence we need to subtract one of them) = 9900 sq.m Hence the area of park without cross roads = 210000 - 9900 = 200100 sq m
