The power consumed in bulbs in series in a 220 V line is
P=P1P2P1+P2=2500001000=250W
When bulbs are connected in bulbs in series in a 110 V line
P1=V24R1=14P1
Similarly, P2=14P2
Hence,
The power consumed in bulbs in series in a 110 V line is
P=P1P2P1+P2
By putting values of P1 and P2 in last eq. we get ,
P=14P=62.5W
Therefore, the power consumed in each bulb is P2=31.25W
