Let us imagine a sphere around q1. If r0 then we can neglect the effect of q2 in the vicinity of q1.

Δs1=πr2(1cosα).

No of lines passing through Δs1πr24π(1(cosα))×q1ϵ0

Since lines of forces do not intersect same no of lines pass through ΔS2


πr24π(1cosα)q1ϵ0=πr24π(1cos β)q2ϵ0sin2α2.×q1=sin2β2×q2q1q2=sin2β/2sin2 α/2
