Solution

The correct option is A

The fisherman in city 'A'

It is given that two fishermen live in two different cities 'A' and 'B'.

In city 'A' sewage water is treated and then discharged into the rivers.

In city 'B' untreated sewage is dumped into the rivers.

We know that aquatic animals depend on the oxygen dissolved in water. When water is polluted the amount of dissolved oxygen in it decreases. Consequently, the population of aquatic animals will decrease when water is polluted.

Hence, the number of fishes in the river of city 'A' are likely to be more than the number of fishes in the river of city 'B'.

So, the fisherman in city 'A' is likely to catch more fishes.
