Solution

The correct option is B 13 N, 5 N
Let the two forces be F1 and F2 such that (F1<F2)
Let R be the resultant of these two forces.

According to question:
F1+F2 =18 N...(i)
Angle between F1 and resultant (R) is 90
tan 90=F2sinθF2cosθ+F1=
F1+F2cosθ=0
cosθ=F1F2....(ii)
R2=F21+F22+2F1F2cosθ
144=F21+F22+2F1F2×F1F2
144=F22F21...(iii)
Using (i) and (iii), we get
F1=5 N and F2=13 N
