(a): When all of the forces are pulling in the same direction
Net force, F=F2+F1=30+20=50N

Therefore, the net force will be 50N.

(b): The direction of the net force acts along the direction of F1orF2

  1. When the forces are in opposition to one another.
  2. Net force, F=F2-F1=30-20=10N

Hence, the direction of the net force acts along the direction of F2asF2 is greater in magnitude.

(c): Here the net force is non-zero. Hence the force name is unbalanced force.
