The correct option is D epiglottis
The epiglottis is a flap that is made up of elastic cartilage tissue covered with a mucous membrane. It is present at the opening of the larynx (voice box) which is known as the glottis.
During swallowing, the epiglottis covers the glottis, preventing the entry of food into the larynx and directing it to the oesophagus (food pipe). Due to improper movement of epiglottis, the food might enter the respiratory tract via the larynx which in turn might induce coughing to expel the food out.
