Solution

The correct option is A 7.85
Initially, Danial and Logan have $15.5 and $31.2, respectively.

They decided to equally distribute the whole amount among themselves such that they can have an equal opportunity to spend in the theme park.

One of the solutions for this problem is to calculate the mean/average amount, which each of them can have for equal sharing.

We know,
Mean or Average=Sum of all data pointsTotal number of data points

Here,
sum of all data points= total amount they have= $15.5+$31.2=$46.7, and
total number of data points= 2

Average amount each of them can have= $46.72=$23.35

Hence, after equal distribution, both Danial and Logan will have $23.35.

Currently, Logan has $31.2, but after equal distribution he should have $23.35.

Hence, the additional amount Logan has $31.2$23.35=$7.85–––––––––––––––––––––––, which needs to give to Danial for equal sharing of money.

So, after getting $7.85 from Logan, Danial will also have $15.5+$7.85=$23.35.
