Milk in first glass =12 unit

Milk in second glass =34 unit

Water in first glass =12 unit

Water in second glass =14 unit

Therefore, the required ratio is as follows:

12+3412+14=24+3424+14=2+342+14=5434=54×43=53=5:3

Hence, the ratio of milk to water in the vessel is 5:3.
