Two hockey players of opposite teams, while trying to hit a hockey ball on the ground collide and immediately becomes entangled.One has a mass of 60kg and was moving with a velocity 5 while other has a mass 55kg and was moving with a faster velocity 6 towards the first player.In which direction and with what velocity will they move after they becomes entangled? Assume that the frictional force acting between the first two players and ground is negotiable.

Total momentum of two player

m1u1+m2u2=60(5)+55(6)

=300(330)

=30Kgms1

Total momentum of two collision =(m1+m2)V

Conservation of momentum

-30=(m1+m2)V

V=30115

V=0.26ms1
