Two identical bullets are fired one by a light rifle and another by a heavy rifle with the same force. Which rifle will hurt the shoulder more and why?

Both the rifle will hurt the shoulder with the same force as the force applied by both the rifle on the bullet is same and by Newton's third law of motion. The force applied by the bullet on the rifle will be same by action-reaction pair. Hence both the rifle will apply same force on the shoulder, hence the same damage.
