Given amplitude = 5mm
So, sinusoidal wave can be
taken as A=5sinωt
Another wave has π2 phase diff-
B=5sin(ωt+π2)
=5cosωt
A+B=5(sinωt+cosωt)
=52(12sinωt+12cosωt)
=52(sinωtcos45+cosωtsin45)
=52(sin(ωt+45))
=52sin(ωt+π/4)
