The correct option is A 100 J
From 1st Law of thermodynamics, we have dQ=dU+dW=dU+PdV(1)
For case A:dV=0 So, dW=0 and hence
dQA=dUA(2)
For case B: It is free expansion so, W has to be zero and that's why
dQB=dUB=100J(3)
But dQA=dQB=100J So, using (2) we get,
dUA=100J, Change in internal energy of A.
Hence, the answer is 100J.
