We have our two equations :
$2x+3y=4.26$ Multiply by 2 $4x+6y=8.52$
$3x+2y=4.49$ Multiply by 3 $9x+6y=13.47$
Subtract the first equation from the second, we get

$5x=4.9$ $⟹x=0.99$
The pears cost Rs. 0.99 per kg.
Put 0.99 in the first original equation, we have
2(0.99) + 3y $=$ 4.26
