From symmetry, B at P and R should be same. Using Ampere's law, ∫L0→B⋅→dl=μ0i=μ0(kL−kL) →B.→L=0⇒B=0 hence at P and R, B = 0 Now, let us apply Ampere's law between Q and R. Here, ∫L0→B.→dl=μ0kL ⇒BL+0×L=μ0kL (∵ B is zero at R) ⇒B=μ0k towards right
