Let r be the radius of the sphere. Let m₁ and m₂ be the masses of the two sphere. If they are in contact with each other, gravitational force is given by

$F_1=G\frac{m_1{m}_2}{{\left(2r\right)}^2}$

If two lead spheres of double the previous radius are in contact with each other, then gravitation force will be

$F_2=G\frac{m_1{m}_2}{{\left(4r\right)}^2}=\frac{1}{4}{F}_1$
