Given, Two masses M1=4kg,m2=2kg

So the net force at the point is:

F=m1gm2g=4g2g=2×10=20N

Acceleration on the center of mass is:

a=Fm1+m2=202+4=103m/s2

a) Distance traveled in 9s

S=12at2=12×103×92=135m

b) The Speed of the CoM in 9s

V=at=103×9=30m/s
