The general formula of energy is:
Ek=12m.v2
The general formula of momentum:
P = mv
Since the masses are given we only have to equal the energies:
Ek1=Ek2
12.1g. v21=12.4g.v22
v21=4v22
v1=2v2
The momentum of each can be calculated in terms of v1:
p1=1.v1
p2=4.v2=2.v1
And the ratio of the momentum is:
p1p2=v12v1=12
