Two metallic objects A and B are brought into contact but there is no heat transfer between them. What could be the possible reason for this?
Temperature of A = Temperature of B
If the two bodies in contact have the same temperature then there is no heat transfer between them.
Conduction is the transfer of heat between substances that are in direct contact with each other. It occurs when a substance is heated, the particles gain energy and vibrate. These molecules will then bump into nearby particles and transfer some of their energy to them. This then continues and the energy is passed from the hot end down to the colder end of the substance.
