Question

Two metals that exist in the free state?

Open in App
Solution

When an element does not combine with any other element then an element is said to exist in a free state. Molecules can exist in the free state because they are very stable. The metals that can be found in the free state of nature are gold ( Au), silver, (Ag) platinum (Pt), etc. Since these metals are the least reactive metals, hence they are found in a free state in nature.
