Two number are in the ratio 4:11 and their sum is 135 find the number

Solution

Let the two numbers be 4x and 11x respectively.

According to question,

4x +11x = 135

15x = 135

x = 135/15

= 9

Therefore, 4x = 4 x 9 =36

and11x = 11 x 9= 99

Ans. The two numbers are 36 and 99
