Then, (2 + x):(3 + x) = 4 : 5

$\Rightarrow \frac{2 + x}{3 + x} = \frac{4}{5} \Rightarrow 5 (2 + x) = 4 (3 + x) \Rightarrow 10 + 5 x = 12 + 4 x \Rightarrow 5 x - 4 x = 12 - 10 \Rightarrow x = 2$
