Let the two numbers are $x\text{and}y.$

Now,

$\frac{x}{y}=\frac{3}{5}$

$x=\frac{3y}{5}......\left(1\right)$

Now, according to given question,

$y-x=144......\left(2\right)$

From equation ( 1) and ( 2) to,

$y-x=144$

$\Rightarrow y-\frac{3y}{5}=144$

$\Rightarrow 5y-3y=144\times 5$

$\Rightarrow 2y=720$

$\Rightarrow y=360$

Put the value of $y$ in (1) and we get,

$x=\frac{3}{5}y$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{3}{5}\times \left(360\right)$

$\Rightarrow x=3\times \left(72\right)$

$\Rightarrow x=216$

Hence, $216$ and $360$ are the numbers.
