Since, the ratio between the number is 3 : 5

If one number is 3x; the other number is 5x.

Given : $\frac{3x+8}{5x+8}=\frac{2}{3}$

$\Rightarrow 10x+16=9x+24$

$\Rightarrow x=8$

$\therefore$ Numbers are 3x and 5x = 3 $\times$ 8 and 5 $\times$ 8 = 24 and 40.
