Let the two numbers be 7x and 8x as their ratio is 7:8
Given 3 is added to first and 8 is added to second
Hence the numbers become, (7x + 3) and (8x + 8)
Given (7x + 3) : (8x + 8) = 3:4
Hence 4(7x + 3) = 3(8x + 8)
28x + 12 = 24x + 24
28x-24x=24-12
4x=12
x=12/4=3
Therefore, x = 3
Hence the numbers are 7x = 7(3) = 21
8x = 8(3) = 24
