Two objects move towards each other till they meet at a point. The speed of first object is 5 ms−1 and the speed of the second object is 10 ms−1. If the distance between the objects is 30 m initially, what is the difference between the distances travelled by the two bodies?

The correct option is B 10 m
Given, speed of first body = 5 ms1.
Speed of second body = 10 ms1.
Let the time taken for the two bodies to meet be 't'.
Distance travelled by the first body = 5×t.
Distance travelled by the second body = 10×t.
Since the total of the distances travelled = 30 m,
5t+10t=30
15t=30
t=2 s.
Distance travelled by the first body = 5×2=10 m.
Distance travelled by the second body = 10×2=20 m.
Difference in distances = 20 10 = 10 m.
