Question

Two onions are put on two glasses with their root side get deep in the glasses of water, after some days some roots are grown and then a root of the first onion get cut and places in another glass of water. Then which one of the roots of first or second will grow much faster?

A cutted root never grow up. because, when you separated the root from a onion, nutrition supply will be stopped.
Further root cells cannot undergo photosynthesis, due to lack of chlorophyll.
Root was kept in the water, where root cells don't have capacity to absorb dissolved oxygen from water to undergo Light independent reaction.
Because of all these reasons in water cutted root cannot alive.
Second onion roots alone will get develop.
