Two organ pipe of the same length,open at both ends produces sound of different frequencies,if their radii are different.why?

Solution

Due to end correction, the frequency of an open organ pipe depends on its radius r and is given by
v = v/2(L + 1.2 r)
So, the pitch will be different for different radii.
so since pitch changes, sound differs for different diameters.
