Observing A from the frame of B
Let us draw VAB, VAB=VA=VB=VA+(VB)
We get tan θ=1020=12; again tan θ=ADCD=AD40=12
AD=20DO=10 and BC = 10
Hence shortest distance between the particle dshort=BC cos θ=10 cos θ=10×25=45m
Since closest distance is non zero therefore they will not collide
