The correct option is A 10 m/s
Given masses mA=1 kg, mB=2 kg
velocity of mass A, uA=10 m/s
velocity of mass B, uB=20 m/s
velocity of system's COM is given by:
uCM=mAuA+mBuBmA+mB=1(10)+2(20)1+2
uCM=303=10 m/s
Hence, velocity of COM of system is 10 m/s in the ve x direction.
