The correct option is B their speeds will not change
As the center of mass is at rest therefore it is a center of momentum frame, hence total momentum will be zero.
m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2=0 ,
or u1=m2u2/m1,v1=m2v2/m1 ,
Now, it is an elastic collision hence kinetic energy remains constant.
m1u21+m2u22=m1v21+m2v22 ,
or (m2u2)2/m1+(m2u2)2/m2=(m1v1)2/m1+(m2v2)2/m2 ,
or (m1+m2)(m2u22)=(m1+m2)(m2v22) ,
or u2=v2 ,
