As we know,
Vcom=m1v1+m2v2m1+m2
Consider rightward movement as positive.
Vcom=2×(10)+(4)×(20)2+4
Vcom=10 m/s {It means Vcom is towards left}.

Distance travelled by the COM in 5 s
S=ut+12at2
Here, a=0
S=u×t=10×5=50 m
