Before collision,

Momentum. P1=MAVA+MBVB

After collision,

Momentum, P2=MAVB+MBVA

By conservation of momentum,

P1=P2

MAVA+MBVB=MBVA+MAVB

Dividing both side by MB

MAMBVA+VB=VA+MAMBVB

MAMB(VAVB)=(VAVB)

Then,

MAMB=1
