The correct option is B (2,0)
Since, both the particles lie on xaxis, the COM will also lie on xaxis.

Let the COM is located at x=x, then

r1= distance of COM from the particle of mass 1 kg=x,

r2= distance of COM from the particle of mass 2 kg=(3x)

Using the relation, r1r2=m2m1

x3x=21

x=2 m

Thus, the COM of the two particles is located at x=2 m.

Therefore, option (B) is correct.

Alternate solution:

The x - coordinate of COM is given by,

xCOM=m1x1+m2x2m1+m2

xCOM=1(0)+2(3)1+2=2 m
