Two persons A and B are standing at the two opposite ends of a plank of length 4 m . Plank is kept on a frictionless horizontal surface. Displacement of plank, when A and B interchange their positions on the plank is ?

Dear student,
The displacement of plank will depend on the masses of persons A and B. The concept used here is that since there is no external force ,the displacement of the centre of the mass of the system will be zero.Thus, if both persons have same mass then displacement of the plank will be zero.
