Two plane mirrors are placed as shown in the figure and a point object 'O' is placed at the origin. Find how many images will be formed.

Solution

If two mirrors are placed parallel to each other, then the number of images is infinite, but as in this case the mirrors are on top of the other, thus the number of image formed will be two.
