Throat thickness $t_e=\frac{5}{8}t=\frac{5}{8}\times 12=7.5mm$

Effective length of weld =

Strength of weld
$=\frac{L_w{t}_e{f}_y}{{\gamma }_{m_w}}$

$=\frac{7.5\times 150\times 250}{1.25}=225kN$

Maximum factored tensile force = 225 kN
