Given:
Two poles AD and CE of height 6 m, 11 m respectively.

The distance between the feet of two poles (DC) = 12 m

AD=BC=6m

BE=CEBC=116=5m

To prove : Find AE

Proof : According to Pythagoras theorem,

AE2=AB2+BE2

AE2=122+52=169

AE=13.

∴ Distance between the tops of two poles = 13 m
