Two regular hexagons of perimeter 30 cm each are joined as shown in the given figure. The perimeter of the new figure is

Given, the perimeter of hexagon = 30 cm

and number of sides in hexagon = 6

Length of one side = Perimeter of hexagonTotal number of sides

= 306 cm

= 5 cm

From above calculations and figure, we have each side length = 5 cm.

Now, two hexagons are joined.
Thus, the perimeter of the resultant compound figure
= Sum of all sides
= AB + BC + CD + DE + EF + FG + GH + HI + IJ + JA
= (5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5) cm = 50 cm

So, The perimeter of the new figure is 50 cm.
