Question

Two resistors 3 ohm and 6 ohm are conected in parallel if magnitude of current in first resistor is 2A what is the current of 2nd resistor

Open in App
Solution

we have given that the two resistors are connected in parallel so that voltage across them is same for 3 ohm resistor the current flowing is 2 A so that voltage across them is
V=3×2=6V
since they are connected in parallel the same voltage exist between the 6 ohm resistor hence the current flowing through it is voltage across it divided by resistance
V=6V
R=6 ohm
hence current=V/R
=6/6 is equal to 1A
