Two resistors of $5ohm$ and $10ohm$ are connected in parallel. Eight such sets are connected in series. Find the equivalent resistance of this combination.

For parallel resistance connection,

$R_{eq}$ = $\frac{R_1{R}_2}{R_1+R_2}$

Putting the value of $R_1$ and $R_2$, we get

$R_{eq}$ = $\frac{10\times 5}{10+5}$ = $\frac{10}{3}$.

Now we have 8 such set connected in series.

Hence, $R_{eq}$ (For whole combination) = 8$\times$ $R_{eq}$ = 8 $\times$ $\frac{10}{3}$ = $\frac{80}{3}$ $ohm$
