The correct option is A zero
The phase of a travelling wave is given by ϕ=Wt, where w=2πv
so for the two waves.
ϕ=2πv1t
ϕ=2πv2t
given v1=30Hz and v2=40Hz, at t=0.8s
ϕ1=2π(30)×0.8 ϕ2=2π(40)×0.8
=48π =64π
Thus phase difference
Δϕ=ϕ2ϕ1=64π48π=π, which is identically zero.
