Solution

Magnetic field due to a bar magnet at a point on equatorial line is given by
B=μ0M4πr3
and its direction is opposite to the magnetic moment of dipole.
Bnet=B1+B2
=μ0M4πd3^i+μ04M4π(2d)3^i
=μ0M4πd3(1+48)^i=3μ0M8πd3^i
if poles of one magnet are reserved,

Bnet=μ0M4πd3^i+μ04M4π(2d)3^i

=μ0M4πd3(1+48)^i

μ0M8πd3^i
