Two sides of a triangle are 6 cm and 8 cm. If height of the triangle corresponding to 6 cm side is 4 cm, find height of triangle corresponding to 8 cm side.

Area of triangle $=\frac{1}{2}\times base\times height$
For base $6cm$, height $=4cm$.

So, area $=\frac{1}{2}\times 6\times 4=12{cm}^2$
Let the height for base $8cm$, be h.
Area of the triangle will be the same considering any side of the base and its corresponding height.
Hence, area $=\frac{1}{2}\times 8\times h=12{cm}^2\Rightarrow h=3cm$
