Given,
vB=8m/s
MA=M
MB=2M

When B pushes A to gain 8m/s velocity,
As there are no external forces acting on AB system,
Momentum of AB must be conserved.

0=2M×8M×VA (as A will move pposite to B)

VA=16m/s

Now total separation between A and B after 5sec
=8×5+16×5=120m

Hence option D is correct answer.
