Two sound wave have equal displacement amplitudes, but one has twice the frequency of the other.
Which has the greater pressure amplitude and by what factors is it greater?

Solution

As we know that, intensity of wave increase with amplitude, frequency and wave speed.

Pressure amplitude increase with increase in frequency.

So, the wave with higher frequency will have more pressure amplitude.
