Given, mass m1=2 kg & m2=6 kg
Taking left to be negative direction.
Velocity of masses, v1=4 m/s
& v2=8 m/s

Thus, we have velocity of center of mass
Vcm=m1v1+m2v2m1+m2=2(4)+6(8)2+6=408=5 m/s
