Open in App
Solution

Area of large square = 32 sq. cm
This is double the area of individual square. This means
2 × Area of small square = 32 sq. cm
Area of small square = 322 = 16 sq. cm
We know that area of a square = Side × Side,
So, 16 sq. cm = 4 cm x 4 cm
Thus, Side length of square = 4 cm
