From statement 1 we find that

Usman has $75,000$ Rupees

From Statement 2 , we find that money with Ajay $=$ Rs $\frac{3}{4}\times 21000$ $=$ $15,750$ Rupees

Hence both the statements 1 and 2 are necessary to answer the question.
