The correct option is C 4.25 s

If the first stone travels for t sec then the second stone travels for (t -0.5) sec.

h1=5t2 ___(1) g=10

h2=5[t12]2

20=h2=5[t12]2____(2)

on solving we get (1) and (2) we get

t=4.25sec.
